The darkest day this nation and the FDNY has ever seen is forever etched in our memories.
Time will not heal these wounds, for we will carry these scars for the rest of our lives......
We will miss you brothers,
Your smiles and laughter,
the good times and sad,
we are lucky to know you for the years you were with us,
for you will always be here..
May the Road Rise To meet You....
Until We Meet Again.....
..... Your brothers from Engine 54 Ladder 4 Battalion 9

Hello, I just wanted to take a second and share a thought with you Heroic gentleman. My name is  Michael, I live in Illionis I was watching your special interview on Larry King.  While I was watching I found myself looking accross the room at a poem that was written for a friend of mine after her death.  Your interview not only made me think of all the victims of 9/11 but once again of my friend as to her birthday was September 11.  During the first Commercial break I walked over to the poem and started reading and realized that it related to all the victims and families of 9/11 and I just felt in my heart that I had to share it with you.  So without taking anymore of your time here you are:
Just because i no longer stand in front of your eyes,
Doesn't mean you can not see me.  Close them, I am there.

Just because I no longer answer when you call my name,
Doesn't mean you can't hear me.  Speak softly, Listen carefully,
There is my voice.

Just because I am no longer there to show you I love you,
Doesn't mean my love is gone.  Place your hand on your heart,
Feel it beat?  I am there.

Know that I am with God

Know that God is with you

And know that we are still with each other.

Well, once again thank you for your time, i just felt deep in my heart that I had to get this to the men of Engine 54 Ladder 4, but wasnt sure how, so if there is anyway that this could get to them i am just hopping it is this way.
Thank you again for all your Bravery!!
God Bless
Michael J. Sivak
